What Are Essential Oils?

Essential oils are the oil of the plant from which they were extracted. They’re basically concentrated herbs! They contain all the goodness that protects and maintains the plant, and we can use them to help support our own body’s health and wellness.

Essential oils are the ‘life force’ of a plant. They have the same function in the plant as blood in the human body. They protect the plant from invaders such as fungus, parasites and bugs – they are the immune system of the plant. If you tear a leaf, the liquid that drops out is its essential oil, which helps it to heal.

Essential Oils:

  • Bring life to the body

  • Are extremely high in antioxidant value

  • Are easy, effective, and safe to use

  • Support the entire body from head to toe – including our emotions, our physical body, and our mental focus

  • Respect the natural flora of the gut

There are so many different kinds of oils out there, and they all have different properties and uses. From well-known plants like Lavender and Lemon to exotic ones like Copaiba and Frankincense, there’s an enormous range to choose from – and they each provide a range of different benefits and uses.
