My approach is simple… look after your gut!
Seventy percent of your immune system is located in your digestive system. I therefore believe that the foundation of a happy and healthy life lies in the right type of diet (for you) that supports and nurtures your digestion.
I passionately believe in a nourishing, natural wholefood diet that is rich in enzymes and nutrients.
For me, this means less meat and more greens! I use fresh, local and organic produce wherever possible and stay away from over processed ingredients, gluten, dairy and refined sugars. I am a passionate believer in the benefits of the daily consumption of probiotic rich fermented foods, such as Sauerkraut, Kefir and Kombucha, along with the healing powers of collagen rich homemade stocks and broths. This is reflected in the recipes that you will find on this site, however they are all highly adaptable to suit your personal preferences.
Most of today’s health problems are lifestyle related and are therefore preventable. The key to a long, happy and healthy life lies in the balance of good nutrition and plenty of exercise. But just as important is the nurturing of our mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
